S.T.A.R.S. is a program designed to identify and introduce children with complex medical needs to their EMS responders prior to an emergency taking place. Becoming familiar with these individuals aids paramedics and EMTs in treating these children with the best, most appropriate care.
S.T.A.R.S. was piloted at Rock Township in June of 2014 with Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center being the hub of the program in the St. Louis Metro area.
Our STARS Coordinator arranges for initial assessment meetings to enroll children. Please refer to the Informational Letter below for additional information.
